    I am a skilled wedding photojournalist. With any camera in my hand, I become a storyteller. A wedding day is a collection of short stories or chapters that, when pulled together, tell the story of an entire day.

    A good storyteller is aware of the elements of a good narrative (a beginning, a middle and an end), as well as the aspects that make a story entertaining to experience – emotion, humor, tension, plot, resolution, pathos, and so on. Linking the spontaneous events of the day forms the wedding-day story, which is what the modern bride wants to see in her wedding coverage.

    I take on the same approach when covering a portrait session/sporting event. It’s not about the fake poses, the packages you’re obligated to buy, or the 3 poses you’ll be limited to (none of that is welcomed here). I want to see your personality. I challenge you to come with a great attitude and I will deliver amazing photos. That is my guarantee.

    The key ingredient to great photos is something I once read that was attributed to the great Magnum photographer, Elliot Erwitt: “Good photography is not about zone printing or any other Ansel Adams nonsense. It’s about seeing. You either see or you don’t see. The rest is academic. Photography is simply a function of noticing things. Nothing more.”

    I agree wholeheartedly with Erwitt’s statement. Good photography is not about complicated posing, sumptuous backgrounds, or five lights used brilliantly. It is about expression, interaction, and life! The rest is important, but secondary.
